Day 1 Singapore - Malacca (3.5 hrs) Pick up at City Hotels at 0730 hrs. Cross the Johor Causeway, that links Singapore to Peninsula Malaysia. After brief formalities, enter Johor Bahru - the southern most state of Malaysia. Enroute to Malacca, you will pass lush tropical jungle, rubber and palm oil plantations and enchanting laid-back, kampung or Malay villages. At a rest stop in Aw Pottery witness traditional methods of firing pottery maintained by four generations of potters. After lunch, tour the historical city of Malacca visiting major attractions the likes of St. Paul's Hill; the renowned Porta De Santiago; Cheng Hoon Teng Temple and Jonkers Street where you can hunt antique souvenirs. Visit the Baba Nyonya Museum - for an interesting insight of the lifestyle and tradition of the unique peranakans. (Lunch)
Day 2 Malacca-Kuala Lumpur (2 hrs) After breakfast, you rejoin the highway passing Seremban to Kuala Lumpur - the capital city of Malaysia. After lunch, our guide will give you an orientation tour of Kuala Lumpur where you will be introduced to the humble beginning of the city to what it is today - a modern bustling cosmopolitan city. Major highlights of the tour: National Monument, National Museum, Sultan Abdul Samad Building - Independence Square, the Selangor Club and the King's Palace. Lunch at Kuala Lumpur Tower with a panoramic view of the City. (Breakfast/Lunch)
Day 3 In Kuala Lumpur Visit the Petronas Twin Towers for a photo oppurtunity. The twin towers has a sky bridge, which is open to the public - subject to availability as the entry is limited to a certain number of people each day. Set off to Batu Caves - a daunting cave where you will climb 272 steps to reach the entrance of the main cave. This is where the Hindus have erected a scared shrine devoted to Lord Muruga. Thaipusam Festival turns this cave into a frenzy and dramatic affair with colourful chariots hooked on to the body of the devotees paying their respects. Royal Selangor is one of the largest producers of pewter products in the world and you shall have the opportunity to witness the craftsmen at work. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, you are free to explore the city. Shopping is great and it is easy to move around with taxis and the monorail. In the evening, you may want to join an optional tour for a taste of traditional Malay cuisine with a cultural show plus a visit to Chinatown. (Breakfast/Lunch)
Day 4 Kuala Lumpur - Cameron Highlands (4 hrs) Head north into the state of Perak, your journey to Cameron Highlands (the centre of Malaysian tea production) takes you to an altitude of 1500-1800 metres above sea level. Vegetables grow in abundance and exotic flowers bloom everywhere in the cool weather, which can drop to 8 degrees Celsius! After driving on the North-South Expressway for about 2 hours from Kuala Lumpur we will break for lunch in Tapah before continuing the journey on the scenic mountain road to Cameron Highlands. Along the way visit a bamboo basket cottage industry, a refreshing stop at the Lata Iskandar (Iskandar Waterfalls) and an opportunity to see the Orang Asli (Malaysian aboriginal tribe) complete with their blowpipes. Day 5 Cameron Highland - Penang (7 hrs) Your day begins with a visit to one of the tea plantations owned by the Boh Plantations. Watch the processing of black tea and later sample various kind of tea in the teahouse. After the tea break visit the local fruit / vegetable market where fresh produce are sold directly to the locals by the farmers themselves and see the vegetable terraces nearby. Later in the morning, continue with a pleasant drive downhill to Tapah and northwards to Ipoh - the city of millionaires' whom made their fortune from the rich tin mines of Kinta Valley, the heart of tin dredging in Malaysia. Visit one of the famous Cave Temples in Ipoh followed by lunch at a local restaurant. Then proceed to the Royal town of Kuala Kangsar, with its unique Ubudiah Mosque - a magnificent building with golden dome - and the former palace of the Sultan of Perak with its intricate woodcarvings. Glimpse the official residence of the Sultan of Perak - Istana Iskandariah before leaving this charming royal town. Continue the journey to Province Wellesley you will cross the Penang Bridge (spanning 13.5 km - the longest bridge in Asia and the third in the World) into the island of Penang. Tour ends upon arrival to your choice of hotel in Penang. (Breakfast/Lunch)
Day 6 In Penang Today you explore Penang - the Pearl of the Orient and the oldest British settlement in Malaysia. Visits include the Khoo Kongsi (Dragon Mountain Hall) clan house with its ancient design constructed to capture the splendour of an Imperial palace, the historical Fort Cornwallis and the Thai temple of Wat Chayamangkalaram, which houses the 32 metres reclining Buddha. The rest of afternoon is left for you to enjoy beach and sun. (Breakfast/Lunch)
Day 7 Depart Penang Free till transfer to the airport for your departure flight. (Breakfast)
