Day 1 - Depart Kota Kinabalu for Lahad Datu by air. Transfer for breakfast and a visit to Pacific Hardwood's Agro Tourism Project. On to Teliwas Forest Recreational Area for a bird watching stop before continuing on to check into Borneo Rainforest Lodge (90km/2hrs from Lahad Datu). After lunch, go on a guided nature trail walk for 1.5-2 hrs. In the evening attend talk/video/slide presentation on wildlife/forest ecology. Overnight at the Rainforest Lodge. (Full board)
Day 2 - Early morning, bird walk before breakfast. Visit the Danum Valley Field Centre and any current project. Visit a natural history observation trail with a 40m high tree-platform. Picnic lunch in the jungle. In the evening go on a spot-lighting drive to view some of the nocturnal animals. Overnight Lodge (Full Board).
Day3 Jungle trek to visit ancient Dusun coffins a few hundred years old. Return to the centre for lunch before departing to Lahad Datu and the flight back to Kota Kinabalu. (Breakfast/Lunch)
